Photo-Composite/ Montage
Part One: Create illustrations that visually describe an abstract or intangible idea.
Experiment with color, line and shape using the brush tools and Wacom tablet. NO photographs, NO text.
Choose one of the following concepts to illustrate: panic, memory, mistake, pungent, staccato, overpowering,
instant, clatter, strain, propel.
Part Two: Choose the most successful of the concept illustrations from part 1 and create a photo-composite
expressing it more completely. Using original or downloaded photographs, create a seamless
photographic composite. The illustration should visually describe the selected concept.
Photographs should be color and contrast corrected and combined as to remove all suggestions
of their varied origins.
